Overview
Many parents have unrealistic expectations about their babies’ behavior, even during the first few days postpartum. This two-part training will include a summary of the UC Davis Baby Behavior research, an overview of normal newborn development and behavior (specifically early cues, crying and sleep patterns), and will provide attendees with research-based counseling techniques to promote informed infant feeding decisions during the postpartum hospital stay.
