Our Office's Role at UAlbany

The Office of the Title IX Coordinator oversees University-wide compliance with UAlbany policies, state laws and federal laws that prohibit discrimination and sexual misconduct.

To ensure compliance, the Office of the Title IX Coordinator:

• conducts prompt, fair and unbiased investigations into allegations of workplace discrimination, sexual misconduct, and retaliation
• identifies patterns of these forms of misconduct in need of address
• conducts student and staff trainings related to these topics
• provides information about on and office campus resources and support services
• coordinates campus-wide efforts to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are prioritized, as outlined in the Strategic Plan
