Joseph Creamer received his PhD and master’s degree in history from the University of Washington in Seattle. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Providence College in Rhode Island.
Before joining WCI at UAlbany, Dr. Creamer was an assistant dean and adjunct instructor of history at Fordham University in New York City.
His research and teaching interests include Medieval European history, higher education, the history of Christianity, saints and holy people, storytelling and memory, and first-year writing.
Dr. Creamer likes to swim, garden and spend time with his family.
