Aishwari Talhan received the BE degree in Information Technology and the M.E. degree in Embedded Systems and Computing from Nagpur University, India, in 2005 and 2009, respectively, and the PhD degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in August 2018.
She currently works as a Research Scientist in the Division of Research and Economic Development for the Research Foundation for the State University of New York (The RF SUNY), at the University at Albany, New York, USA.
She is the recipient of the Grenander Award for NonAnimal Methodologies in Research, Testing, and Education of the year 2022-23. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Shared Reality Laboratory, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McGill University, Canada., and Haptics and VR Laboratory at the Department of Computer Engineering, Kyung Hee University, South Korea.
She has served as an Assistant Professor at R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur, India., and also worked as a Software Developer for Nagra Vision in Bengaluru, India. She is a member of the Communications of The ACM (ACM) and the IEEE.
Research Interests
Haptics, wearables, soft haptics, pneumatic systems, actuators, extended reality (XR), medical training, and simulation engineering.
