Lanre Adeolu
Olanrewaju (Lanre) Adeolu, a native of Staten Island, is a passionate advocate for education and cybersecurity. Currently, he is the Site Manager for the Science and Tech Entry Program (STEP).
Lanre earned a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity from the University at Albany, where he excelled as a leader. As an undergraduate student, he held various key positions, including president of the African Students Association (ASA), vice president of Brother to Brother (B2B) and chief of staff for the Student Association. These roles allowed Lanre to foster a sense of community, promote diversity and advocate for the needs of his fellow students.
As a first-generation college graduate, Lanre deeply understands the transformative power of higher education. He believes in making the path to higher education accessible to all students, regardless of background, emphasizing that it's an achievable goal for anyone willing to put in the effort. With his blend of technical expertise in cybersecurity and his commitment to educational equity, Lanre is looking to make a positive impact to disadvantaged students seeking higher education.
