On-boarding

Welcome to UAlbany!

You’ll be invited to attend a New Employee Orientation with Human Resources (HR) on your start date.

During the one-day orientation session, you’ll have the opportunity to complete paperwork, meet other new hires, learn about UAlbany, its policies and campus resources, hear from HR units and union representatives, take a campus tour, and more.

You’ll also receive an email with instructions for activating your UAlbany email address and other UAlbany accounts. Please activate your accounts as soon as you receive that email. Learn more about managing your accounts.

Please visit the Faculty & Staff page or the Student Employees page for information on benefits enrollment, payroll, timesheets and other procedures.

Visit these webpages to learn more about getting settled at UAlbany:

We also encourage you to explore UAlbany, the Capital Region and SUNY. Learn more about our mission by reading UAlbany’s Strategic Plan.
