Walid Redjem is the Empire innovation Assistant Professor of the college of nanoscience and engineering at UAlbany. He leads the Redjem Lab which focuses on quantum photonic research to advance quantum computation, communication and sensing. His group studies a wide range of physical systems including lasers, color centers and integrated photonics.
Prior to joining UAlbany in 2024, he was a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley EECS. He received his PhD in Physics from University of Montpellier in 2020 and his BS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from University of Nice in 2013. The group is actively seeking highly motivated students willing to strongly contribute to the progress of science, in the areas of engineering, applied physics, physics and optics.
Motivated and hands-on undergraduate students are encouraged to contact Prof. Redjem and discuss the possibility to contribute to our mission.
