Most students do not need notarized or Apostille transcripts. You only need to get your official transcript notarized or apostilled if an institution, employer or other type of third-party requests it specifically.

Notarized Transcripts

Only official CSR transcripts will be notarized. If needed, please place an order for a Notarized Transcript. Notarized transcripts will be mailed to the recipient address provided on the transcript order form.

Apostille Transcripts

An Apostille transcript is a document authenticated for foreign use. This process involves three steps:

  1. Order a notarized official CSR transcript. Notarized transcripts will be mailed to the recipient address provided on the transcript order form.
  2. Get the document(s) authenticated by the corresponding county clerk. The Registrar's office will try to have the transcript notarized by someone who qualified or filed in Albany county so that this step can be completed by the Albany County Clerk but if the notary public's stamp indicates that they are only qualified or filed in different county, you will need to complete the second step with that County Clerk's office.
  3. Get the document(s) apostilled by the New York State Department of State. This seal is the last one required.

Degree & Enrollment Verification

An enrollment verification — sometimes referred to as proof of enrollment — is documentation that shows a student was enrolled at The College of Saint Rose (CSR).

Students most often request enrollment verification certificates for health insurance, housing, employment and scholarship purposes.

The enrollment verification certificate shows which semester(s) the student was enrolled, whether they were enrolled as a full-time or part-time student, and what their anticipated graduation date was.

Former College of Saint Rose Students

Obtain a Degree/Enrollment Verification Certificate

Former Saint Rose students can obtain a degree/enrollment verification certificate to verify their degree/enrollment at CSR through the National Student Clearinghouse.

To obtain a verification, navigate to the National Student Clearinghouse Verification Services page, then click “Verify Now.” Then you would select the option that says "I'm submitting a verification request for myself (I am verifying my own records as a student)". If you do not already have an account, you will need to create an account using either Google or LinkedIn. Once you have created an account, you can choose to verify a degree or your dates of attendance (you should not choose the "Current Enrollment" option since The College of Saint Rose is closed and there is no current enrollment to verify for any students).

Instructions for Families

Students can order and print a degree verification or dates of attendance verification certificate using the instructions above.
