About
Dr. Heta-Maria Miller joined the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology’s Division of Educational Psychology and Methodology faculty as a professor of practice in fall 2024. Prior to joining UAlbany, she spent 26 years at The College of Saint Rose, teaching a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate Educational Psychology courses. She is a nationally certified grades 1-6 teacher in Finland where she started her teaching career as a 2nd grade teacher.
Dr. Miller is passionate about social and cultural contexts of learning and the importance of relationships in these contexts. She enjoys being outdoors in nature and spending time with her family.
