About
His research is on ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, with special interests in ancient natural philosophy and epistemology. He has published articles on Socrates, Plato, the Stoics, and ancient skeptics; his work has appeared in venues such as Oxford Studies in Ancient Philosophy and the Journal of the History of Philosophy. He is the co-editor of the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Hellenistic Philosophy. Professor Powers teaches courses on ancient philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, and philosophy of religion.
