About
I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oregon and I am co-advised by Dr. Andy Berglund and Dr. Karen Guillemin. I did my PhD work at Case Western Reserve University under the advisement of Dr. Hua Lou, generating a mouse model to study the biological effects of the alternative splicing of the Nf1 tumor suppressor gene. As a postdoc, I have been developing and characterizing zebrafish models of myotonic dystrophy. I am particularly interested in using these models to study the mechanisms underlying DM-related changes in gut motility and the microbiome.
