Other Research and Educational Opportunities

The RNA Institute offers many different research and educational opportunities either directly through our research-focused Institute, through one of our affiliated Departments, or through other programs available at UAlbany.  Since the RNA Institute is a research-focused cross-departmental hub, apart from our bioinformatics camp and bioinformatics program,  individuals interested in any of the following opportunities must apply directly to the Department or program.

  1. Join one of UAlbany’s other excellent summer research programs: The Office of Access & Academic Enrichment (OAAE) offers several programs, including the University at Albany Summer Research Program (UASRP), that provide enriching and valuable research experiences to qualified undergraduate students.
     
  2. Transfer to UAlbany and become a fellow great Dane: The University at Albany is home to leaders, doers and impact makers.  We believe in unleashing your individual potential, in setting the standard for inclusive excellence, and in learning and discovery for the betterment of all. If you are interested in joining our team, the UAlbany Office of Undergraduate Admission (OUA) can lead you through the process.
  3. Join us for a Master’s or 4+1 programs: Our academic partners in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Nanobiosciences, and Biomedical Sciences offer Master’s programs with a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches that prepare you for a advanced STEM career. UAlbany also offers a number of other graduate degrees across the diverse STEM field, including our accelerated 4+1 undergraduate/graduate Biology and Chemistry programs, that can save you time and money on your journey to an exciting career in science.
  4. Consider applying to our affiliated PhD program: UAlbany offers a wide variety of PhD programs across multiple disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Nanobiosciences and Biomedical sciences, for undergraduates that already know they want to pursue an advanced degree alongside our talented principal investigators and take advantage of exceptional teaching opportunities, state-of-the-art facilities, and career connections for entrepreneurship across disciplines.
