Students Kiersten Segal and Daria Medvedeva featured in the UAlbany in the High School Science Research Symposium Program

We are delighted to announce the winners of the Art & Science Contest and the Science Fiction Contest who were featured during the inaugural UAlbany in the High School Science Research Symposium.

Kiersten Segal won the Art and Science contest with an entry based off of research examining the relationship between air pollution and asthma and was featured on the cover of our program. Kiersten has always loved making art in various mediums, and she is glad she got the opportunity to share it with our symposium guests.

Our program also highlighted the winner of our Science Fiction contest, Daria Medvedeva, who submitted the winning entry, “The Unmaking.” Daria is an avid dark fantasy enjoyer and prospective English teacher.
