What is a redirect?
Every page on the web has its own unique link, known as an address or a URL. Sometimes web editors need to forward users from one URL to another by using a redirect.
The most common reason for redirects is when an editor moves content from an old page to new page and then deletes the old page. Without a redirect, people who have the old URL saved as a link or a bookmark will try to visit the page and get an error message. With a redirect, they will be forwarded to the new URL seamlessly.
Web Services is happy to create redirects as needed. Please use the form below to request a redirect.
