Greg Owens

Greg Owens is the Community Outreach Convener for the Center for the Elimination of Minority Health Disparities’ Albany Minority Health Task Force.

Specializing in criminal and juvenile justice, Mr. Owens is a liaison from Macedonia Baptist Church Initiatives in Community Development. He has worked as a clinician and manager in various settings, including residential treatment and community-based organizations.

Before his retirement, Mr. Owens worked for New York State for over 30 years, serving in the Office for Children & Family Services and the Division of Criminal Justice Services. In these roles, he was responsible for statewide initiatives related to mentoring, youth gangs and violence, disproportionate minority representation, cultural competence and responsible fatherhood.
