NMR Spectroscopy

The NMR spectroscopy facility at ETEC offers access to the latest FT NMR spectrometer equipped with state-of-the-art digital and high frequency technology to researchers.

INSTRUMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS

The JEOL JNM-ECZ 600R spectrometer is equipped with a 14.09 Tesla magnet, corresponding to the resonance frequency of 1H of 600 MHz. Mounted atop of the spectrometer is an Auto Sample Changer for 24 Samples.

SPECTROMETER

  • Two channels console.
  • Fully automatic autotune and matching control of all nuclei in the probe range.
  • 200W High Frequency Power Amplifier: 550 to 610 MHz.
  • 500W Low Frequency Power Amplifier: 5 to 245 MHz.
  • Matrix shim system, shim controller, shim driver and shim coil.
  • Automatic and manual shimming.
  • Variable temperature control, temperature range: from -170 to 250°C.

  • High efficiency anti-vibration system specific for the magnet.

600 MHz 5 mm FG/RO DIGITAL AUTOTUNE PROBE

  • 5 mm high sensitivity ROYAL HFX NMR probe
  • Coils optimized for proton, fluorine, and multinuclear observation and decoupling
  • Observable and irradiable nuclei: 1H, 19F, from 31P to 15N.
  • Digital auto-tune and match ready, Z-axis pulsed field gradient coil, 2H lock.
  • Provides 1H{19F}, 19F{1H}, 13C,{1H,19F}, and X{1H,19F} experiments with switchable magnet idler coil tuning and no performance loss in standard 1H or 19F mode..
  • Coils optimized for proton, fluorine, and multinuclear observation and decoupling, heteronuclei selection by software.
  • Variable Temperature operation: from -100 to + 150°C.

600MHZ 10MM LOW FREQUENCY TUNABLE PROBE 

  • 10 mm high sensitivity broadband low frequency probe.
  • Optimized for low frequency multinuclear observation with 1H decoupling,
  • 2H lock.
  • Nuclei include: 1H, 15N to 103Rh.
  • Variable Temperature operation from -50° C to +120° C.

  • JEOL "Flex Automation" automated 'point and click' NMR operation software with automatic gradient shimming, user-defined automation and data presentation

  • 2 Gbyte color graphics card, 24" color flat screen display, DVD+/-RW drive, alphanumeric keyboard, optical mouse.
