Dr. Chittur is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. His current primary appointment is as interim Director of the Center for Functional Genomics, at the University at Albany. At UAlbany, his work has centered on the development and application of high throughput genomics technologies to various areas of disease including cancer, cardiomyopathy, immunology and infectious disease. His collaborations with scientists in these varied areas have lead to advances in identification of biological markers for human disease.
Dr. Chittur is open to collaborations aimed at new technology development for genomics.
