Tola Seng

Tola Seng, PhD Candidate, is conducting a dissertation research study on intergenerational trauma among Cambodian Americans. Employing quantitative method, she is collecting the data via online survey from second generation young adults whose mothers are survivors of Khmer Rouge regime. Her other research interests include parenting, child maltreatment, trauma, resilience, and mental health. She has experience using secondary data (NSCAW II) to examine effects of harsh parenting on self-esteem and conducting phone interview with Khmer Rouge survivors on their traumatic experiences, refugee experiences and parenting practices.
