Research Highlights
ECE Research Labs
Robotics Lab: Research includes locomotion, motion planning and deformable objects manipulation. Dr. Wang and collaborators study robotic knot tying, string manipulation, memory-efficient motion planning, tensegrity robot motions and controls, and exact optimal trajectories for vehicles.
Computer Vision and Machine Learning (CVML) Lab: The CVML lab's research is focused on the mathematical foundations and algorithmic development of machine learning algorithms with a targeted application to the analysis of visual imagery (images and videos).
Energy Conversion Systems Lab (ECSL): Research focused on power electronics circuits and systems for a broad range of applications including grid integration of renewable energy resources, data centers, transportation electrification and distributed converter architectures.
Decision Making for Ambient INtelligence Environments (IMAgINE) Lab: Research in enabling intelligent surroundings by advancing and exploiting tools from machine learning, signal processing, communications and control. We work on a variety of interdisciplinary and innovative applications including but not limited to smart cities, safer online communities, intelligent transportation, e-health and agriculture.
