Honors College Student and UAlbany Volleyball Team Member
Competing At The Highest Levels
Meet UAlbany Honors College Student Andersen Vaughan
The Barnes and Noble Achievers Scholarship
Vaughan, setter for UAlbany’s volleyball team, says she and her fellow athletes “are like family. And our coaches care so much about us.”
The Virginia native has two sisters and one brother. She describes herself as “competitive” – a trait she says she inherited from her dad.
Her intended majors are psychology and criminal justice. Vaughan, a “Criminal Minds” fan who loves watching people, wants to become an FBI behavioral analyst.
Vaughan, who says her professors and classes are “awesome,” will take her first courses next fall at the School of Criminal Justice, ranked “No. 2 in the nation!”
The Barnes and Noble Achievers Scholarship she received “makes me even more committed to academics and athletics.”
When she needs some quiet time, Vaughan enjoys strolling the Indian Pond trail and gazing at “the trees, and the little chipmunks running there. It’s a secret gem.”
