"I just want to say thank you for the opportunity you are providing me with. This will be my second year receiving this scholarship and you do not know how much it means to me to be able to go to school and focus on my education knowing I do not have to put all my energy and focus on paying my bill. I feel honored to receive a scholarship in Mr. McGovern's memory and will do my very best to live up to it."

Jasmin

"I was confident that I would be able to attend UAlbany my first year but wasn't sure about my remaining 3 years as I didn't have all the funds. However, because of this scholarship, I have a better opportunity to stay in school and be less overwhelmed by my financial stressors. I have the dream to become a psychologist or therapist for low-income adolescents."
