Steve Madore received his MA in Theatre History and Dramatic Criticism from UAlbany and completed coursework as a doctoral student at Indiana University, Bloomington. His production interests include directing and dramaturgy. As a director, his production of Robert of Sicily, a reconstructed medieval drama, had its world premiere at the Bloomington Early Music Festival in 2003. His work as a Production Dramaturg includes an experimental production of Bertolt Brecht’s The Exception and the Rule at the University at Albany and a production of the Aristophane’s Greek comedy Lysistrata, which earned him an invitation to participate in the Dramaturgy Debut Panel at the Association of Theatre in Higher Education Conference in New York in 2003. Over the past 20 years, Steve has taught a wide variety of courses in both Theatre and English at the University at Albany and other institutions.
