Catherine Lawrence

Specializations: U.S. policy analysis and implementation; organizational change; racial equity and inclusion in the child welfare workforce.

Catherine Lawrence seeks ways to bend the arc towards justice in her teaching, research, and service at the University at Albany. Her scholarship focuses on services to children and families, including policy implementation in cash assistance and workforce dynamics in child welfare. She is currently Senior Evaluator for the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (NCWWI), funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, where she studies implementation of change initiatives in child welfare that address racial equity and tribal sovereignty.
