Sheri Stevens worked in the human services field for over 20 years before coming to the University at Albany. As the Director of the Community and Public Service Program Sheri focuses on University-Community engagement, working to meet the needs of our local community and community partners through linking resources and developing strategies for sustained support and partnerships. UAlbany student organizations are vital partners and resources in this process.
Research Interests
The CPSP builds the capacity of local organizations by providing the opportunity for undergraduates to serve their community as part of their academic program at the University at Albany. Students volunteer to serve in nonprofit and public partner organizations for either 35, 60 or 100 hours throughout the course of a semester.
