Math & Health Partner Teacher
I originally selected the online MPH program at UAlbany because I was working under a state tobacco control grant and wanted to gain more knowledge and credibility, and apply it to the work I was doing for the state. This program opened my eyes to the world of public health and the importance of coordinated, preventative and educational efforts.
The online classroom affirms that you are not alone and equips you with knowledge and experience of individuals in different capacities. The program draws in people from all different professional backgrounds that facilitated stimulating discussions as if you were in a traditional classroom. There is a wealth of knowledge among the students that attend UAlbany and I learned it is okay to reach out to each other. In addition, the professors are always available and dedicate the time and attention for students to succeed.
My favorite class was Public Health Law. The class engaged students in such a way that we were able to learn from one another and the professor provided thought provoking questions that all students answered differently.
