Claudio F. Gomez
EOP Alumni Mr. Claudio F. Gomez earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and management, and master’s in nonprofit organizations from the University at Albany. He joined the EOP staff in 2009 as an EOP counselor and, prior to this commitment, Mr. Gomez served as a Residential Director for the EOP Summer Program two years in a row. Mr. Gomez is also the co-founder of the EOP Student Administrative Council (ESAC), a student organization that acts as a governing body representing EOP students, and of Purple Threads, which provides students with access to professional clothing.
Mr. Gomez also created the Academic Recovery Program, which is intended to motivate freshmen and sophomores with GPAs lower than 2.25. Students are identified as either on Academic Probation (GPA between 1.99-0.00) or in Jeopardy and Recovery (GPA between 2.25 -2.00). Furthermore, this program is designed with many different interactive components with the intent of motivating the largest percentage of students.
