EOP Students Volunteer at Albany’s LatinFest

Students from UAlbany’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) recently volunteered at the 25th Annual LatinFest.

LatinFest is a celebration of the beauty and diversity of Hispanic culture and heritage and acknowledges the contributions of Hispanic Americans at the local, state, national and international level. The family-oriented festival — held August 27, 2022, in Albany’s Washington Park — featured music, food, art and kids’ activities.

The students volunteered alongside EOP Director Melissa Cedeño and Associate Professor Rita Biswas, who also serves as Associate Dean for International Programs for the School of Business. Dr. Biswas has volunteered at LatinFest for the past decade.

Students enjoyed a beautiful day of service, music and food, while learning about the rich cultures in the Capital Region.
