Nadine Al Annabi Wins Prestigious Lamb Prize

ALBANY, N.Y. — Rockefeller College's Nadine Al Annabi has earned the 2023 Bert & Phyllis Lamb Prize in Political Science. Her paper entitled, "Comparative Analysis of America’s and Germany’s Higher Education Systems," garnered the prize worth $1,000 plus travel expenses to present her paper at the annual conference of the World Social Science Association (WSSA), and a one-year membership to WSSA.
Nadine completed her bachelor’s degree in December of 2022, majoring in political science (honors program) with a concentration in public law and a minor in English.
The Lamb Prize selection committee noted that Nadine's paper was "excellent and interesting” with “a lot of good research and information," while Dr. Meredith Weiss, Nadine's faculty supervisor, wrote, “Nadine was the rare student to delve into comparative public policy about restructuring higher education funding.”
Nadine is the most recent Rockefeller College student to win the Lamb Prize since Zachariah Levitan earned the honor in 2018.
The Bert & Phyllis Lamb Prize in Political Science promotes the value of education by supporting and rewarding undergraduate papers that combine innovation and good writing related to policy or politics.
