Temilayo E. Adeyeye

Dr. Adeyeye is a research assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences. Her current primary appointment is Research Scientist in the Center for Environmental Health at the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). She is primarily involved in climate-health research and has worked on multiple projects assessing the impact on climate on health in New York State (NYS) including a NASA-funded project exploring the effects of extreme heat exposure on human health; assessing adverse climate-related health risks and vulnerabilities of New Yorkers. She has also contributed to the development of tools and infographics for counties in NYS to aid in climate health surveillance and mitigation efforts such as the NYS Heat and Health Infographic and the County Heat and Health Profile Reports. Dr. Adeyeye’s current research activities include but are not limited to the climate-health surveillance, assessment of rural/urban differences in climate-health risks, air pollution, spatial variation of exposures to adverse environmental contaminants and its relation to environmental justice, development of mitigation tools to address extreme weather events, etc.
