Coming and Going
Coordinator of Law Joe Sheehan and Director of Computing Services Tony Manes retired. Both left their marks on the school.
New faculty begin in the departments of law, management and digital forensics.
Law professor Joe Sheehan taught business law to a staggering 750 students annually. He took the time form relationships with many students, hosting breakfasts and serving as the faculty advisor for the World of Business Living Learning Community.
Sheehan finished his law degree in 1978 and started teaching at the School of Business two years later, following in the footsteps of his father, Bill Sheehan, who served as the coordinator of law for the school, a role that the younger Sheehan stepped into in 2007. Sheehan served as Mechanicville City Court Judge until 2018.
Director of Computing Services Tony Manes, English major turned IT wizard, worked tirelessly to oversee the design, upgrade and transition of technology from the old Business Administration building to the state-of-the-art Massry Center for Business, including creating a virtual environment for the digital forensics program.
His witty asides were appreciated by faculty and staff as much as his adept and timely handling of computer snafus.
