Plan a Field Trip to UAlbany Showcase
UAlbany invites Capital Region schools to attend its third annual Showcase Day.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, on our Uptown Campus. Registration is required for all school groups.
UAlbany Showcase highlights and celebrates student excellence through displays and exhibitions of undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship, creative endeavors and applied/experiential learning.
School Group Testimonials
“Having a dedicated student guide was fantastic. It made navigating campus so much easier!”
“For some of our students it was the first time on a college campus and that in itself was invaluable.”

Navigating Showcase
Each school group will be assigned a Showcase Ambassador who will help you get around campus and identify activities of interest.
Additionally, the Showcase app and event schedule will be available for chaperones to download closer to the event date.
Pre-event Resources
Throughout the day, your group will be able to attend poster fairs, oral presentations, demonstrations, panel discussions, recitals, art exhibitions and performances. During these events, you can interact with UAlbany students and ask questions about their work.
Here are some resources you can share and discuss with your students to help them make the most of their visit:
Arrival & Parking
Buses should drop students and chaperones off at Collin’s Circle, located off Washington Avenue, on UAlbany’s Uptown Campus.
Buses may park at the far end of the State Quad Commuter Student Lot for the duration of their students’ visit.
UAlbany staff will be available at Collin’s Circle to greet your group and introduce your Showcase Ambassador, who will escort your group around campus and help your students get the most out of their visit.
Visit the Event Map & Trolley Schedule webpage for more information.
Dining
Each student and chaperone will get a voucher to have lunch in the Indigenous Quad Dining Hall, State Quad Dining Hall or Campus Center's retail dining locations.
Health & Safety
Backpacks and large tote bags are prohibited in Showcase venues.
All participants must adhere to the University’s Prohibited Items & Activities during Events policy. This policy includes a prohibition on weapons, as well as tobacco and smoking products.
- Schools must provide adult chaperones for their students, with a ratio of 10 or fewer students per chaperone, as required by New York State education law.
