Casey and Rec Field Turf Replacement

Casey Stadium from above

September 2024

Background \ Overview:

Bob Ford Field at Casey Stadium

Located southeast of Broadview Arena (formerly SEFCU), Bob Ford Field at Casey Stadium is the home of UAlbany Football, Lacrosse, and Soccer.  Opened in 2013, the stadium seats a capacity of approx. 8,500 spectators.  The playing surface is past its useful life and rips easily.  The rips cause dangerous trip hazards.  Repaired rips also create an uneven playing surface and represent a trip hazard.

Recreation Field at Dutch Quad

The Recreation Field is located directly south of the Dutch Quad Tower and is primarily used by the campus community for recreation and intramural sports.  The playing surface is past its useful life and rips easily.  The rips cause dangerous trip hazards.  Repaired rips also create an uneven playing surface and represent a trip hazard.
