Drone Thermal Roof and High Temp Hot Water Line Inspections

Work Alert Notification

Dear Members of the UAlbany Community,

Please be advised of the following work related to both roof inspections and thermal inspections of energy lines, including steam and high temperature water lines.  This work will involve a drone inspection on both the Uptown Campus (Academic & Dormitories) and the Downtown Academic buildings. This will complete work from 11/08/2024 that was interrupted by rain showers in the early evening.

During this work a drone will be used to make aerial infrared inspections of roof systems and hot water lines and is necessary to support the ongoing maintenance to support our building infrastructures. During this time work may result in temporary low frequency noise created by the drone motor as it flies overhead.

Work is expected to begin on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 4:00 PM and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 PM.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this work, please contact the project manager, Gary Goss, at [email protected]  or at 518-442-3433.
