Order an Official Transcript    Check Transcript Order Status    College of Saint Rose Transcripts

Transcript processing may take anywhere from one to 10 business days, depending on processing requirements for individual orders. The Parchment system will automatically place an order in an “on hold” status if the order cannot auto-complete so staff can review and resolve any issues. Please watch your email for status updates, as we will contact you if additional information is required to process your order.

What is an unofficial transcript?

Students can download PDFs of their unofficial transcripts as needed. Unofficial transcripts don’t have the University's seal, the University's name or the Registrar’s signature. Many institutions require an official transcript for admissions and other purposes.

Download a PDF of your unofficial transcript. (Under “Report Type,” select “Unofficial Academic Transcript.” When the portal prompts you to print the document, save the file as a PDF.)

There are some holds that prevent the release of transcripts, so you should check your Important Notices on MyUAlbany before requesting a transcript.

What is an official transcript?

Official transcripts are a permanent, irrevocable record of all courses, grades and degrees an individual student has obtained from the University at Albany at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The total number of credit hours UAlbany has accepted from other institutions will also be listed on an official transcript, alongside the names of the institutions where the credits were earned.

Official transcripts are sent directly to the recipient listed on the order form.

When another institution sends a transcript to UAlbany for admission or credit purposes, that transcript becomes the property of UAlbany and will not be returned to the student or forwarded to another institution under any circumstances. If you need a transcript from another institution, you must request it from that institution.

Order an Official UAlbany Transcript

Official UAlbany transcripts can be ordered online, using any major credit or debit card.

There are some holds (non-financial) that prevent the release of transcripts, so you should check your Important Notices on MyUAlbany before requesting a transcript.

In most cases, previous and current UAlbany students who are applying for admission to a UAlbany program do not need to send an official UAlbany transcript. Visit Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate Admissions for detailed instructions.

UAlbany’s official transcript vendor is Parchment, which uses encryption technology to keep your information secure and ensure the person ordering the transcript is authorized to do so.

Get a Transcript Notarized or Apostilled

Most students do not need notarized or Apostille transcripts. You only need to get your official transcript notarized or apostilled if an institution, employer, or other type of third-party requests it specifically.

Notarized Transcripts

Only official UAlbany transcripts will be notarized. If needed, please place an order for a Notarized Transcript. Notarized transcripts will be mailed to the recipient address provided on the transcript order form.

Apostille Transcripts

An Apostille transcript is a document authenticated for foreign use. This process involves three steps:

  1. Order a notarized official UAlbany transcript. Notarized transcripts will be mailed to the recipient address provided on the transcript order form.

  2. Get the document(s) authenticated by the corresponding county clerk. The Registrar's office will try to have the transcript notarized by someone who qualified or filed in Albany county so that this step can be completed by the Albany County Clerk but if the notary public's stamp indicates that they are only qualified or filed in different county, you will need to complete the second step with that County Clerk's office.

  3. Get the document(s) apostilled by the New York State Department of State. This seal is the last one required.
